Etisalat Nigeria is Recruiting to fill the follow Positions August 2012

1.) Engineer-BSS (Abuja)

Division: Network Deployment

Reports To: Manager-Regional Rollout (Abuja)

Job Summary:

Support BTS site implementation and rollout activities in assigned region

Principal Functions:

Ensure end-to-end deployment of target BSS sites

Conduct technical site surveys of new and existing BSS sites in line with the deployment process

Conduct acceptance testing of BSS site activities

Ensure that all Safety Health and Environment (SHE) requirements are adhered to by contractors and vendors

Co-ordinate all assigned BSS site construction activities from start-up to commissioning/ acceptance

Supervise installation teams in conducting feeder and antenna live verification tests (VSWR, DTF)

Deliver continuous progress reports on all assigned network site rollout activities for the attention of the Manager-Regional Rollout

Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager-Regional Rollout

Educational Requirements:

First degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering

Relevant professional qualifications/ certifications will provide an advantage

Experience & Skills:

At least two (2) years’ directly relevant post-NYSC work experience

2.) Specialist-Blackberry and VAS (Lagos)

Division: Products & Services

Reports To: Manager-Data (Product Development)

Job Summary:

Conducts and/ or supports all functional and technical product development and management, commercial proposition development and management and segment marketing and management of all Blackberry and VAS to ensure that identified and approved products are rolled out and effective management is applied throughout the product life cycle

Principal Functions:

Develop Blackberry and VAS products utilizing network bearers and technology (voice, data, SMS, USSD, etc)

Conceptualize and execute all Blackberry and VAS-related propositions

Ensure alignment between product roadmap and business objectives, targets and processes

Act as key lead on Blackberry and VAS-related research,naija jobs trends investigation and other related developments in the telecoms industry

Ensure compliance with approved product development and management process in service creation

Develop business case for all new projects in line with specified framework

Propose modifications to enhance products and services, as well as provide
relevant inputs in the implementation of projects involving the Products and Services team

Ensure that all service quality enhancement guidelines are met in the course of implementing all product development and enhancement projects

Co-ordinate cross-functionally with relevant Commercial teams on projects for product roll-out

Provide inputs in the technical requirements process leading to implementation of new technology

Work with the Technical team for solution/ platform selection and deployment of data technology and services

Generate actionable recommendations through the effective presentation of operational reports to relevant stakeholders

Manage external-party relationships with regard to Blackberry and VAS product development to ensure realization of Etisalat Nigeria’s commercial objectives

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in any numerate discipline

Relevant industry certifications (project management, product development, etc) desirable

Post-graduate degree, e.g MBA, will provide an advantage

Experience & Skills:

Between three (3) and five (5) years directly-relevant post-NYSC work experience

Ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate continuous experience in the following areas:

• Product Development and Marketing, Technical Solutions Deployment, Project Management
• Knowledge of Value Added Services (corporate and consumer) with specific emphasis on mobile environments (IT and/ or wireless communications)
• Good understanding of mobile communications technology
• Sound documentation and presentation skills
• Good understanding of technology trends and evolution in mobile VAS solutions (software, mobile OS, mobile platforms) and consumer trends (productivity, entertainment, lifestyle)
• Experience in relationship management within technology-driven industries
• Experience with established product/ solution delivery framework/ methodology

3.) Specialist-Supply Chain (Enugu)

Division: Indirect Channels & Corporate Sales

Reports To: Manager-Distribution (South-East)

Job Summary:

Support the Manager-Distribution in ensuring adequate inventory levels and proper safeguard of inventory items

Principal Functions:

Liaise with relevant Procurement personnel for goods receipt, inventory management and execution of tasks according to defined work schedules

Monitor stock levels and ensure product availability in assigned sales outlets according to forecast

Liaise with suppliers to ensure alignment of products and services with pre-defined service level agreements

Liaise with transportation providers and co-ordinate inbound and outbound distribution activities

Liaise with relevant unit/ team/ function in carrying out all distribution activities

Attend team meetings as required

Prepare/ compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Manager-Distribution (South-East)

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager-Distribution (South-East)

Educational Requirements:

First degree or equivalent in any relevant discipline

Relevant postgraduate/ professional qualifications/ certifications shall provide an advantage

4.) Analyst-Budgeting and Analysis (Lagos)

Division: Budget and Planning

Reports To: Specialist-Budgeting and Control

Job Summary:

Assist the Specialist-Budgeting and Control in co-ordinating ongoing budget administration

Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations

Analyze budgeting and accounting reports for the purpose of maintaining expenditure controls

Principal Functions:

Verify that all transactions are in line with approved budget

Assist in preparing monthly budget v. actual variance analyses with detailed explanations for variances

Co-ordinate purchase requisitions prior to management approval based on approved budget

Assist in providing inputs for the development of the annual budget and business plan

Assist in budget analysis review (Operating, Capital Expenditures, Projected Profit and Loss, Balance Sheets and Cash Flows)

Organize and manage dates and presentations for key Project Office meetings

Control and process requests for management approval based on approved budgets

Analyze various cost control/ cost reduction measures

Analyze monthly distribution of budget balance for all departments

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Accountancy and/ or Banking

Membership of relevant professional association(s), e.g CIMA, CFA, ACCA, ICAN, etc, will provide an advantage

Experience & Skills:

Minimum of 2 years directly relevant post-NYSC work experience in finance at the professional level performing essential functions in budgeting and naija jobs planning

5.) Analyst-Utility Administration (Lagos)

Division: Network Operations

Reports To: Manager-Mechanical & Electrical

Job Summary:

Ensure timely processing of diesel (AGO) and utility invoices.

Maintain a comprehensive database of fuel deliveries and consumption, generator run-hours, delivery costs, and generator and tank capacities, with particular regard to hybrid and utility sites.

Principal Functions:

Create and maintain accurate records of all transactions in Network Operations Department with regard to diesel delivery at utility and hybrid sites

Record accurately all invoices from vendors and 3rd-parties and also assist in the timely processing of invoices at the Finance Department

Maintain a database of diesel deliveries, generator capacities, run-hours and sites connected to utility/ hybrid systems

Maintain a comparative analysis of diesel v. utility/ hybrid system usage

Maintain a record of correspondence between the organization and EOT vendors/ suppliers of diesel and ensure diesel discrepancy surcharge records are kept

Ensure sites with repeated diesel thefts and/ or diesel over-consumption are highlighted for proper investigation

Generate weekly and monthly reports of diesel delivery and consumption alongside regional costs

Performance other duties as assigned by the Line Manager

Educational Requirements:

First degree or equivalent in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, and/ or any other relevant discipline

Experience & Skills:

Between one (1) and two (2) years directly relevant post-NYSC work experience

Ideal candidate must be able to demonstate:
• Good working knowledge of MS Office applications (in particular Excel and Powerpoint) and Oracle ERP application
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
