To ensure that we continue in the right direction, Sahara Group is always searching for enthusiastic and motivated people to join Sahara family in any of our Graduate Management Programs. Whether you are aspiring to develop your general management or professional skills, Sahara is seeking for highly motivated and capable individuals with genuine commitment to team work and problem solving to join our business. What does the program involve?

Our highly practical six months program involves an initial induction and orientation process, followed by rotational placements within any of the operational companies of the Sahara group.

Within your chosen discipline, you will be given a great deal of responsibility at an early stage and be expected to make a real contribution to the success of the organization. The graduates are a valued resource within the organization and are given challenging and important projects to manage within each rotation they perform.

The projects are generally highly analytical and dynamic, with many of the projects carried out in teams. You can expect regular performance reviews, performance feedback, coaching and career development reviews, this way you get to know not only the Sahara Group and our core fields of activity and people, but also yourself.

Getting Started

You can make your initial application for all positions with Sahara group by submitting an application online where you would be asked to complete a simple form. Dependent on the type of job you are applying for, your details will be automatically passed to a Sahara recruiter dedicated to the handling of such application Note that Sahara only accepts one initial application in a 24month period. Submitting more than one initial application will jeopardize or delay your chances of employment.

Recruitment Process

  1. Online application form
    The first stage is to complete the online application form
  2. Aptitude Testing
    Entry –level job applicants are subject to a standardized aptitude test.


  1. Skills Test
    A skills test is usually administered for those who are advanced past the aptitude test, especially for accounting, engineering and other technical positions. This stage assesses the technical knowledge of candidates in their area of expertise.


  1. Oral interview
    If you are successful, you will be invited to attend an oral interview. This could be a panel or a one-to-one basis. The interview provides the candidate with an opportunity to get a better understanding of the position, the work location, future personal development etc.
    Interviews are divided into 3 stages:
    • Interview with line managers
    • Interview with HR
    • Interview with Management

Recommendation & Evaluation

After the final interviews with Management have been concluded, the successful candidates are invited for a medical examination. Upon successful completion of the medical examination, offer letters are prepared and forwarded to the successful candidates. Unsuccessful applicants are informed as soon as all processes are concluded. The selection process is considered private in that it involves evaluating the capabilities of candidates relative to one another. As such the company is not obligated to state any reason for the rejection of an unsuccessful candidate.

Interview Tips

  1. Do your research Fail to plan, and you plan to fail. You are certain to be asked specific questions about the company, so make sure you’ve done your homework on the company and their product lines.


  1. Practice your answers
    Although there is no set format that every job interview will follow, there are some questions that you can almost guarantee will crop up. You should prepare answers to questions about your personal strengths and weaknesses, as well as being able to explain why you would be the best person for the job.


  1. Look the part
    Appearances shouldn’t matter, but the plain fact is that you are often judged before you’ve even uttered a word. Make sure your shoes are polished, your clothes fit correctly and that your accessories are subtle.


  1. Stay calm
    Good preparation is the key to staying in control. Plan your route, allowing extra time for any unexpected delays, and get everything you need to take with you ready the night before. Remember to speak clearly, smile and remember that your interviewers are just normal people.


  1. Ask questions
    You should always have at least one question for your interviewer to demonstrate your interest in the position.
